Leachate Storage Pond Pump Skid

The prefabricated pump skid and enclosure system was meticulously engineered to address the specific needs of managing water collected in the landfill leachate storage pond, ensuring efficient discharge to the landfill leachate sump. Featuring two self-priming centrifugal pumps, the system operates seamlessly, automatically adjusting its operation based on water levels in the Landfill Leachate Storage Pond. During low pond levels and freezing weather conditions, the pumps smoothly transition into recirculation mode, maintaining optimal functionality. The Pump Skid System, known for its reliability, comprises a comprehensive array of components, including a heated, ventilated, and insulated enclosure, self-priming pumps, and 316L stainless steel piping for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. Motor-operated ball valves, manual valves, and other essential accessories ensure precise control and efficient operation. The GPM team specified two U3B65S-B/F Gorman Rupp Self Priming Pumps would deliver a reliable performance of 100 gallons per minute (GPM) at 130 feet, driven by robust 20 horsepower (hp) motors operating at 1800 revolutions per minute (rpm) and 460 volts. This system exemplifies reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in managing landfill leachate and is equipped with advanced features such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and a pump control panel with PLC.
